For many years, we have been fortunate to spend some of the winter in Carpinteria, CA. This mostly sleepy (in the winter) beach town 11 miles south of Santa Barbara has become a very special place to us. Colorful murals, two miles of uncrowded beach, a seal sanctuary, a saltwater marsh and a city library all within walking distance of our rented condo.
